The Catholic University – Messa Campus played host to a sensitisation campaign and a blood drive on 16 October 2025.

With the institution opening its doors for the new academic year, the moment was ideal to get freshmen on board the blood donation drive. The initiative was that of CLUB 25 and LIFELINE AFRICA, associations advocating blood donation, who collaborated with the National Blood Transfusion Service, NBTS, represented by Dr. Akongnui Emmanuel. Having used the previous day to educate and raise awareness to the newbies on campus as well as older students, a medical team from the University Teaching Hospital (CHU) was on hand for the collection exercise, which according to Dr. Akongnui was successful for a first.
