We were delighted to host a delegation from our French funding partner, Initiative, for a productive working session with the NBTS Top Management. The meeting was aimed at reviewing the Project to Support the Deployment of the National Blood Transfusion Service of Cameroon (PADOC).
We were honoured to receive Sabrina Regent, Project Officer for the Initiative, Eric Fleutelot, Technical Director for the Initiative, Pauline Lavrotte, Central Africa Geographic Manager for the Initiative, Prof. Christophe Vanneck and Florianne Zacoumer
The session began with a comprehensive presentation on the project's progress, followed by in-depth discussions. We were pleased to see that the team from Initiative was visibly satisfied with the level of information sharing and the achievements made so far.
We look forward to continuing our strong partnership to ensure the success of the PADOC project and enhance blood safety for all Cameroonians.
Funded by Expertise France, the project's overall goal is to reduce the risks of transfusion-transmissible infections like HIV and malaria by focusing on two key areas:
Strengthening the technical capacities of the NBTS and Hospital Blood Banks and equipping civil society organizations to better mobilize communities for blood donation. The ultimate aim is to improve the quality and availability of safe blood products across the country.
