In a show of love and concern, the staff of the National Blood Transfusion Service visited orphans of the Divin Orphanage situated in the Mendong neighbourhood of Yaounde on 2 March 2024. The men and women of the NBTS carried along food items like plantains, vegetable oil, onions, tomatoes as well as toiletries and bottled water for the over 30 children catered for in the orphanage. Mrs. Ko Flaviene who led the group encouraged the children not to lose hope but to trust God to make their futures better than what obtains now. She used the opportunity to talk about the job of the staff of the NBTS, and encouraged the children to know that in future, they would be expected to donate blood to save lives. The children showed expressed gratitude for the gifts by praying for their benefactors and asking God to grant them good health and prosperity. In communion with the children, the staff of the NBTS sang and made merry before bidding their goodbyes
