Over 500 Sensitized on Importance of Blood Donation

This was during the finals of the holiday football tournament, which saw the turn out of administrative, religious and traditional authorities at the ceremonial ground. Before the kick-off of the games, the East regional Representative of the National Blood Transfusion Service, NBTS Metou Marcel Hexisunderscored the importance of donating blood voluntarily and often, to save lives. She highlighted numerous instances in which blood transfusions were important, calling on the population to make it a habit to donate blood. She equally handed out over 100 brochures containing information on the lifesaving act.
