NBTS and Baptist Health Service in Tandem

Regional Representatives of the NBTS, Dr. Besingi Esonoand Ngana Lauretta in collaboration with staff of the Baptist Health Services – Mutengene carried out a blood drive which resulted in the collection of 22 pints of blood. The sensitisation which preceded blood collection took place in the Chapel of the HSC that saw the participation of over 120 people. The population was schooled on the importance of voluntary blood donation, ethics in blood donation and the role of the NBTS in the blood transfusion chain. Meanwhile, NBTS representatives also used the occasion to award certificates to voluntary donors in recognition for their selfless act of saving lives through blood donation.
