A technical preparatory workshop to strengthen the capacities of healthcare personnel involved in the transfusion chain is underway in Garoua. The seminar to run from July 29-30, 2025 is aimed at ensuring safe and quality blood through theoretical and practical training. This is within the framework of the PADOC project, with participants drawn from regional delegations, healthcare facilities, and the NBTS. The workshop focuses on adapting training modules to specific field realities, following a preliminary diagnosis in six pilot regions. Stakeholders will fine-tune strategies to implement the technical training scheduled for September, and that would benefit 550 blood bank and NBTS staff.
